For decades, students have been told there’s only one “right” path after high school.

Meanwhile, skilled trades and hands-on careers — the jobs that build our cities, power our economy, and support families — have been overlooked.

We built Collars to change that.

Collars is a workforce platform connecting skilled and blue-collar talent with real career opportunities across construction, manufacturing, transportation, service, and the trades.

It breaks before students ever get connected.

That’s why we’re hiring a Career Partnerships Developer.

Why This Role Exists

We need someone to build real, long-term relationships with:

• High schools & CTE programs
• Trade schools & vocational institutions
• Community colleges
• Workforce development organizations

This is not a sales role.

This is a relationship-building and expansion role.

You will be the face of Collars in the community — helping schools, counselors, and students access better career pathways.

What We’re Looking For

You might have worked in:

• College admissions
• Career services
• Workforce development
• Educational outreach

But more importantly, you:

• Are confident speaking in front of students and administrators
• Enjoy building trust-based relationships
• Thrive in startup environments
• Think like an entrepreneur
• Are comfortable traveling as we expand
• Want to help build something meaningful

Public speaking is required.

Travel across Illinois (and surrounding states as we grow) will be part of the role.

The right person will help build markets, not just manage partnerships.

This position is designed to grow into a Manager / Director-level leadership role as we scale.
